I Got Your Backtracking

Well, things have been a bit chaotic around here, so I am gonna really quickly summarize what we have been up to in a few quick photoblogs, just to catch up!

Well, to backtrack a week and two days ago, Evelyn celebrated her first year with us with a HUGE bash. Well, okay, so maybe not huge, but a decent amount of people considering it was right in the middle of graduation season! We are so appreciative to all our friends and family who came to celebrate Ev's first birthday with us.

Here are a few pictures I took to commemorate the occasion. However, since I was pretty much in charge of Ev as well, the pictures are few and far between, and basically, pretty random. :o) Oh well, that's us anyway. Random.

YUM! Evelyn Rose LOVED the cake. And dorky me, forgot to take pictures of what it looked like BEFORE she demolished it. Bummer.

Don't forget the next two installments in the "backtracking" series! :o)

To the One They Said Wouldn't Ever Be Here

Evelyn Rose, you turn one year old today. Doctors told me that it would never be likely to have another pregnancy since my tube was still blocked from the ectopic. But here you are, our bouncing baby girl. Happy birthday, Evvie Rose. You are our pride and joy, and the answer to your sister's biggest request for Christmas. God truly blessed us with you. You are the happiest little girl. With just one look in your direction, you have a grin from ear to ear. Anytime I am feeling down, just snuggling with my two girls will have me back in action in no time. So, thank you. To you and the Lord. For making my heart and the Peterson family whole. I thought that I would post some of my favorite photos from your wonderful first year.

My Civic Duty...and Yours

If you want something to change, do something about it.

Go vote!

Got a ton of stuff to do today. The month of May is chaos in my family. Best friend, Aaron, has a birthday today. Mother's Day is the 9th, followed closely by my Dad's birthday on the 10th, another best friend's birthday is the 11th, Mom's birthday on the 14th, and then to round out the month of May, Evelyn's first birthday is on May 26th. My dad's brother and sister also have birthdays in there too. My Grampy always says that it was "those hot August nights" in response to how all three of his kids came to be born in this in kind of spring, kind of summer, month. So needless to say, I will be doing a lot of shopping today to get ready for the following week or so. I would post what awesome gifts I have planned for everyone, but...who knows, the giftees MIGHT decide that they want to read my blog. Wishful thinking, I know. Also have to finally get some stamps so that I can send out my cards ON TIME. I always have good intentions, but fail miserably when it comes to actually getting the letter in the mail, so to speak.

Then...on to the voting booths, to carry out my civic duty! Hopefully, I can squeeze all of this into the 2.5 hours that I have without Daughter #1. Here goes!!!
